What leaves the device, and what never does.
Cardinal Math is a math tutor for children. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no third-party analytics in the app. This page says exactly what the app sends, why, and how to turn it off.
What the app sends: anonymous counts
To learn which exercises work and which need fixing, the app sends anonymous counts of which exercises were tried and how they went: the exercise, the step on its ladder, right or wrong, whether help was pressed, and which known mistake pattern an answer matched, if any.
It never sends a name, a face, a birthday, a grade, the question text, the child's answer, how long anything took, or the time of day. Each child is a random code made on the device; it is never tied to a purchase, an Apple ID or anything else about you. The app has no third-party software inside it that could see any of this.
This is on by default. You can turn it off for any child under Parent → Preferences → Share anonymous usage. Turning it off also erases what that child's copy already sent: the random code and every count under it are deleted from our server, and the summaries built from them are recomputed without it.
What the app keeps to itself
Everything else stays on the device: the child's progress, the report on the parent page, what they found hard, when they played. Nothing of this is uploaded. Deleting the app deletes it.
If a future version offers to make worksheets or reports for your child on this website, that will be a separate choice you make, by exporting the child's progress yourself, and it will be off until you do.
This website
The website (not the app) uses Google Analytics to count visits. Emails you send us are kept to answer them. Nothing from the app is joined to either.
